I ordered - -Granola bowl with Fresh Fruits -Eggs Akuri -Veg Mexican Quinoa Millet -Organic Filter Coffee I absolutely loved Granola Bowl , very nicely assembled and fresh ! Akuri was perfectly cooked and was served with a side of Multigrain bread and roasted tomato. I absolutely loved Veg Mexican Quinoa Millet - tasted amazing and healthy. Would order again ! Filter coffee tasted and smelled really nice. Perfect sweetness. I really liked the portion sizes and quality of food. Must try cafe !

They serve the healthiest food in the city with the tastiest risottos and pizzas (trust me this paneer barbeque pizza I had was one of the best ever) So I had Fusion Risotto ₹420 Spinach & Mushrooms, Parmesan cheese cooked in Pink Sauce Served with Brown Rice. The cheesy risotto is especially made for those who don't like having too many spices in their food. And even though it had mild spices it tasted amazing. This new cafe in Oshiwara promotes healthy eating and lifestyle. Every dish is prepared using organic and fresh ingredients. They don't use maida (multipurpose flour), sugar and preservatives and the ingredients are sourced directly from farmers that makes the food more delicious and healthy. The owner Mamta Wadhwani is so lovely and passionate about healthy food and she told us that the main motive of this cafe is to support farmers. The menu is just WOW. Things I have never seen in Mumbai before like Exotic Pumpkin Risotto (is delicious and must try). The menu is full of different (tasty looking) items, and it’s so hard to choose. Serial entrepreneur and a hardcore foodie, Owner Mamta can prove it to you that healthy food can also be tasty, she has the mastered the art of foodcraft and now she presents her skills to you.

It all began 2 years ago during her social work in Lions Club International, Mamta was assigned the project 'Save the Farmer' and she thought it was easy just dole out money to the farmers and its done. But when she went into the villages she found the situation totally different.

The farmers were in dire straits but were having self respect and did not accept donation.

She heard their stories and was pained to see how the very people who grow the food that is our lifeline are driven to end their lives, out of poverty and desperation.

Mamta was moved by their plight and found the root cause being ignorance, lack of education and knowledge and no proper guidance. She then educated the farmers in the right methods in farming like drip irrigation, Crop rotation, Organic farming, stop use of pesticides and use neem instead, and crop rotation etc. saving money in banks, use of technology, hygiene and women empowerment. She got them proper seed and manure and even got released their mortgaged lands.

Mamta's efforts paid off and their lives changed. However there was still a challenge - they were not getting the right value for their produce, here again the Lions clubs helped. They purchased their entire produce and distributed it among the members and eliminated the middlemen. This way the got fresh farm produce and farmers got good prices.

Today most of the raw material in Green Village Cafe comes from these farmers and rest from approved organic farms and a portion of profits go in the upliftment of the farmers.
