Salsa dance originated in Eastern Cuba and is a popular style of dance in many communities around the world. Latin American Salsa styles include Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Cali Colombia. American dancing styles include- the LA Style and the NY Style. Salsa dancing socials are generally held in ballrooms, nightclubs, and outdoor festivals. Salsa is one of the most rewarding dance styles you can learn. At Madmax Academy of Dance, we provide Salsa lessons for all levels – Level 1, Level 2, and Intermediate.

Bachata style of dance originates from the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. It has been evolving for several decades. Current Bachata variants include Traditional, Modern, Bacha tango, Romantica, and the most popular form – Sensual Bachata. Sensual Bachata is mostly danced on pop remix numbers, where the focus is more on Body Movements & less footwork (However, that’s not the Original style of Bachata).

Kizomba originated in the southern African country of Angola in the late 1970s. The word ‘Kizomba’ means party. It is a slow, smooth, and sensual dance form with frequent concurrent hip rotations between the dance partners. Kizomba has gained immense popularity in Portugal, Paris & other European regions, also spreading like a rave in all Asian Countries.

Back in Thane, did some research, got recommended SCBAK by many. Started learning both bachata and Salsa a few months ago. All you need is Patience and Aishwarya and the instructors will make sure to guide you through the learning. What an incredible journey it has been until now. The fun part is that you get to practise all the moves at social dancing once every two weeks. i’m super excited every week to head to the classes. There’s always a mental barrier to join a new environment. But trust me, the change would be totally worth it. You get to meet people from different forks and make new friends ;)

I joined these classes as an attempt to get into dancing. Found them on Instagram and they were recommended by a friend as well. Finished with Beginners level at Powai Centre. Aishwarya and her whole team is very dedicated, passionate and above all patient. They push you to do better and at the same time there is fun as well. Aishwarya has been an excellent teacher. As a first time exposure towards Salsa I think I got lucky with them. Highly recommended for beginners to Salsa.
